About Us

Streebal, a NGO established in 1975 by a group of women under the leadership of veteran media personality, Rami Chhabra, has as its first and foremost objective: “To awaken women to the power of their strength as a force for the betterment of society”. The social work was first started informally in 1972. Streebal has functioned continuously for the past fifty years working on two fronts: national advocacy for women and social issues and, at the local level, the provision of a clutch of modest multi-faceted community services.

It may be noted that Streebal is a registered society and has 80 G tax-exemption since 1975.
